Introduction

If we are guessing right, unless you are one of those rare kids who like meditating, you hate the idea of just quietly sitting and not doing anything, right?

And the idea of not even thinking anything, just seems impossible, doesn’t it?

But if today is one of those days where you can’t stop feeling angry then hear us out, we have a solution.

Meditation. Yes, the dreaded word.

But here’s the thing you can manage anger to defuse the mind. Doing something regularly helps us chill out, take stock, and think straight, whether it's in our daily grind or when things get intense.

So, what exactly is meditation?

Well, it is essentially being present with our mind and body. To stay present, we can center ourselves by focusing on our breath, letting thoughts come and go.

Feeling unsure about your future?

Let's find the perfect career path for you!

How does meditation help with anger?

Build resilience – Resilience keeps our mind cool, calm, and collected enough to help us “bounce back” from challenging situations.

Stop negative self-talk - We can reframe negative self-talk by choosing kind, loving words; not critical ones.

Relieve stress - Meditation signals to the brain and body that we’re safe, that it’s okay to calm down and relax.

How to practice Meditation?

There are many types of meditations, but let’s start with breathwork. It is when we intentionally control how to breathe.

So, here are the steps to practice a breathwork meditation:

Select a quite space

Sit in a comfortable position

Close your eyes and focus on your natural breaths

If you get distracted, move back your focus to the breathing

Conclusion

So, now you know how you can curb those angry man/woman tendencies. We know it seems boring, but trust us, once you start with and get used to meditation, you won’t be able to stay away. Yes, we said it, you can hold us accountable for our words.
